Front desk clerk on Friday evening, Oct. 30, left me standing there for 3-5 minutes while he finished a conversation with a maintenance worker. Finally, he looked down at his computer and mumbled, "Help you?" He then was very smug when he said, "yyyyeah, not seeing your name here." Didn't offer an apology, didn't seem ...
Price was affordable. We have stayed at this hotel twice before and loved it. However, I was extremely unsatisfied this trip. When I made the reservation on the telephone a month ahead of time, I was told that they could provide a roll-away bed for me (one of the main reasons I booked my reservation at this hotel). When we got there, the desk ...

Not the Riverwalk....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/09
If they are advertising as being "Red Roof Inn Riverwalk" you would think they are on the Riverwalk... but no. They are like 4-5 blocks away and its on the ghetto side off the highway. So you have to walk under the highway, where all the homeless people stay, to get downtown. Then they would not refund us our cash for the next night so ...

Great experience

We loved the location. It was a 5 minute walk to the Alamo and less than 10 to the Riverwalk. The room size and the view were great. Room accomodations were nice and comfortable. We didn't regret staying at a more expensive place one bit. The staff was very pet friendly and we appreciated the understanding in providing a room at the end of the hall so our pet's were not disturbed by strange noises. I would love to stay here again!
the front desk staff was very freindly and heplful! the room we had was nice and clean, only 5 min to the riverwalk and the alamo. We FREE PARKING!! nobody else would offer that downtown!.....The pool was nice and clean with pool towls ready on the side.. no breakfast but, coffee muffins, fruit, and orange juice. The guy in the front desk ROGER ...

Won't ever use Red Roof again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/08
We used expedia to bbok our room. We arrived at about 5pm and were assigned a room that had not been cleaned yet and went back to the front desk to ask for another room. The second room appeared to be OK until I checked the bathroom. I took pictures of the tub/shower because there was a large amount of black mildew along the caulk in both ...
What I liked was the location and that it was a nice clean hotel for the price. It had a nice size pool and was right on the bus route for downtown.
Things that could of been improved. They let a huge church group TAKE OVER the pool. And even with a sign that clearly read no food. They had like 20 pizzas out there. And even with the signs ...
