We were on our way to Natchez when the weather became troublesome. We had stayed there before,so we stopped in at the Myrtles Plantation, hoping to find lodging. There was no one to be found. We tried the reception area and the cottage where the overnight manager stays, but there was no answer at the door. Kind of strange as there was a truck ...
Stayed with a friend in the old kitchen cottage...cozy, private, but spacious. We loved it and would go back. The two bedroom cottage afforded all the space I'd need to live in quite happily. We had a kitchen, private baths, a den with fireplace, porches, jacuzzi, and lovely peace and quiet on beautiful grounds...fascinating historic tour of main house too.

Good one night get-a-way

The people were nice. I like the fact that it is very private and quiet. It could have been a tad bit cleaner but you get what you pay for. I'll probably go again. Overall it was good.

Great!!

We have stayed in Chase's Cottage several times. It is such a romantic place. It is the type of place to go and have 'us' time, get away from the every day grind of home. We were able to slow down and be together that is difficult to do elsewhere. Especially in the winter, with the fireplace, it is soooo romantic. (Don't go if you are looking for nightlife or a party!).

Great Place

The 3-story Dovecote is built on an octagonal floor plan tapering as you go up. Cottage has a large downstairs bedroom with stained glass windows and a massive hand-made four-poster bed; jacuzzi ...

Don't Waste your Time or Money

We are frequent guests at B&B's throughout the South. Our stay here in October 2006 was, without a doubt, the worst we have ever experienced. The accommodations were dirty, the furniture worn and uncomfortable, the so-called breakfast was a jar of cold cereal (which the maids "topped off" daily), two bananas, a small bottle of ...
Butler Greenwood is the BEST! Anywhere! We absolutely loved our accommodations, our experience there, the people, everything about it! It is WONDERFUL! Just THE BEST!

Ancient Camellias
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/06
We visited Butler Greenwood to look at the old camellias. Some are down in a ravine to the left of the home. New Orleanians tend to think of Louisiana as flat. Butler Greenwood does not have flat grounds. The oaks are draped in Spanish moss and must provide a lot of shade during the summer. The camellias were beautiful. Go into town and visit ...

Butler Greenwood B&B is absolutely beautiful. The cottages are comfortable, affordable, and very romantic. The owner, Anne, showed us great southern hospitality. Planning to visit again soon.
