The Villas at the Carefree Resort are the best. The resort itself is okay, but the villas are beautifully decorated, large, and reasonably affordable. The location is exceptional, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but not in the middle of nowhere.

We loved our stay at the resort! Our villa was incredible, clean and it felt like our home away from home. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Lariat restaurant and found the food & service amazing. We would recommend this resort for anyone who would like to escape the "typical" hotel. Staying in the real desert was a unique and invigorating experience.

Stayed 2 nights in main motel. Fair older rooms with few ammenities. Clean but "musty" older carpet. Staff was helpful. Nice lobby and restaurant. Prices for entrees were reasonable but they did charge $5.00 for a single banana as a "to go" breakfeast item. Fitness center cardio equipment was old and in poor condition. Overhead lights full of dead bugs and room was uncleanly.

1. Fresh chewing gum on the rug and walls. After I told the front desk, they sent someone to clean it. They removed the gum from the wall, but never cleaned the rug.
