The rooms, while very small, are very clean. The hotel location is excellent - just between the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Gardens just off Rue de St Germaine. It is very quiet and the staff is very, very helpful.

This is very easy to get to from the Airport. The train line from DeGaulle stops less than a block away.

We liked everything about the hotel apart from being given a room one floor above where the elevator reached. Whilst the room itself was fine, it was difficult to struggle through a doorway concealng the final staircase, up steep stairs and through another doorway to reach the actual room door. I agree with many of the other reviews. Clos Medicis has a lot of charm, the staff is wonderful, and a nice breakfast is included. Although the rooms are small,the point of travelling is to see the city - and the location cannot be beat. So much is within walking distance. It is also on a quite side street - so sleeping peacefully is a non-issue.
When we return - this is the hotel we are staying at.

The hotel staff was great and the service was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms are small but clean and attractive (and air conditioned). Great location for sightseeing. Next time we are in Paris we will stay here again.
