Small, boutique-like inn. Staff friendly and helpful. Very large rooms with fireplaces, comfortable beds, et al. Many good eating places within walking distance.

A decent place with good atmosphere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/09/07
We've stayed there many times and will go back again in 2008. The only problem I've had with service is that the different clerks sometimes seem unsure of the price for a given room. The staff came promptly on the two occasions we arrived to find ants in the shower, and the ants did not return. The staff also came promptly when a drunken ...

Disgusting!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/07
Service was the worst we have experienced in 60 years and we have travelled all over the world! Rooms were dirty, pillows were old and cheap, towels were so thin they were barely there. I could go on and on. Don't stay there!

A hotel with character
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/07
I was in the area for business and found the Posada to be located conveniently. The room had more character than a chain hotel. The jacuzzi tub and double shower heads were unexpected in a small town hotel. Breakfast was fresh breads from local bakeries. The downside was no internet availability.
I enjoyed the stay at this quaint little ranch style hotel. Close to everything that San Juan Bautista has to offer. It is the only hotel I would stay at for my next visit to this small Mission town.

We will vivit here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/07
Like a lot of other people, we read that this place was dirty and not worth the money. We chose to stay here because my nephew was married at the mission. I'm glad we did because the convenience was incredible. rs. Perez and her staff made every attempt to make our stay pleasant and above all very comfortable. The price of the room may be ...

I'd rather sleep in my car
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/07
At $115 per night, the Posada de San Juan is insultingly overpriced. It is worn, torn, dark and dirty. The 4:00 P.M. check-in time starts our stay as the first of several annoying features. A swarm of flies lives in the lobby, where the Costco-continental breakfast will be in the morning. All rooms face a central hallway on two tiers, like a ...

Nice Visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/07
We had a nice stay and didn't have any troubles with the staff at all...they were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very quiet and I didn't hear any roosters crowing until 8 am and I actually liked hearing them...it just went with the town's atmosphere. The room was clean but was a little worn and could use some updates. You ...

"don't"

the staff are rude, lack hosting skills(staying on phone while guest waits for service with heavy luggage) and the rooms smell like cigarette smoke. also, there were no good views from any of the windows. there is not much choice for visitors to san juan bautista, in terms of ...

Nice getaway.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/06
Motel need a little work now but the location is wonderful. Close to S.F. so a weekend getaway is easy. For a motel in the 'Bay Area' the price is good. Spa/fire place rooms are nice. Not a B&B but does serve a simple breakfast on the weekends. There are also several good restaurants in San Juan Bautista. San Juan is a very nice place to walk or take a long country bike ride.
