This is a jewell of a place, beautiful view, clean and certainly must be a little part of heaven. Take the boat trip to Santiago for a day of shopping. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. A great place to relax with a super view of the lake.

Good location, many amenities, magnificent Jacuzzi with an incredible view of all 3 volcanoes, boat rides and really close to a natural reserve. What made it really interesting was the fact that within the property we were surrounded by Botanical Gardens.

The whole ambiance was magnificent! The view of the volcanoes from the main terrace was breathtaking, very attentive staff and gardens without comparison, the best I have seen.

Beautiful location on the Lake. However, many rooms have an obstucted view of the lake. Hotel's location forces you to use dining facilities at hotel- and they are overpriced by Guatemalan standards. Walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors. Staff is indifferent- they conveniently forget their English whenever you have a problem.
Panajachel tourists. Don't miss the nature reserve w/ its hanging bridges and spider monkeys. Then stop for lunch at the Hotel Atitlan. Gorgeous grounds. Unbelievable variety of flowers. Right on picturesque Lake Atitlan. Guatemalan ambiance at its finest. Reasonable prices in the open air restaurant.

As beautiful as Italy or Hawaii
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/04
Gorgeous gardens, parrots, etc. The view of the lake and volcanoes are so beautiful it often doesn't seem real. There is a beautiful pool and the rooms are comfortable. You can walk to the nature preserve next door - every bit as beautiful as Italy or Hawaii. At times, you'd think you are somewhere on the Amalfi Coast. What a hidden gem. Luxury at a bargain price. Not to be missed.
