Overall, a pleasant stay. The staff is very attentive. The facilities are adequate, but not what I would expect from a premier Caribbean resort. The Hilton in Cancun proved to be more of what I would have expected. The biggest advantage is the proximity to Old San Juan. It is a very enjoyable 25 minute walk.

For a family of four, with 2 young children, I thought this place was great. It was in a safe, quieter part of town, there was no casino, so the clientelle were very casual and not the "party crowd". Went in February 2005. Loved the property, however some parts seemed "shut down" like the bird pond that was located under our window. All in all, the pools were clean and not over crowded. It was the week before most school vacations though. Had the pool to ourselves in the evening.

The rooms need upgrading, but the grounds are beautiful and the staff helpful. If I were to stay in San Juan again, I would stay closer to Old San Juan to avoid paying a crazy taxi driver $10 each way to go into town to eat or shop.

This place is a dream for everyone who wants a real caribbean visit. The place, the people, the food is all perfect. Come visit Puerto Rico.

The best of it the location, forget about golf, work, and all the othe distractions, get ready for fun, fun, fun. right in the entrance of old san juan this hotel has it all from relaxation to night life, great food beautiful private beach and staff is friendly great restaurants including award winning ,mortons steak house. this hotel will want you to comeback and yo will definetly will come back.

I love the beach, it as right next to the hotel, and we can see the cruises coming, and it was an Hotel right to next of us and it was like a boat. The swimming pool was big too, it was like a dream.
