Eight of us stayed in a four bedroom cottage. Activities every day from singalongs to theater. Food was great. Even palyed golf on Christmas Eve. The hotel was decorated beautifully and the nearby town of Lewisburg was charming. Lots of things for all ages to do.
The shopping was a pleasant surprise. Lewisburg has wonderful art and other shops as does The Greenbrier itself.

This resort is something special and from the moment you arrive you note that the service is what makes this place such a delight. Most of the employees have been employed there for many years and actually take pride in their work and their hospitality to guests. The hotel is a delight to the senses, and the setting is beautiful. The spa is serene ...

What a beautiful area. I went to visit my fiance's cousin who works at the Golf Digest Academy there as an instructor. What a wonderful instructor if any of you are ever interested in learning how to golf. :)

Honeymooned there....30 years later, it's still the 'perfect place!'
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/06
Pampering, forgetting your cares...life couldn't be better than several nights at The Greenbrier. The same reasons we chose it as our Honeymoon destination has brought us back time and again. We've NEVER been disappointed. Here's to Southern Hospitality!

Everyone adressess you by name and it is very friendly. Strict formal dress code ie) no sleepwear of warmups in the lobby, suits for men and boys... Yes, they have a wonderful gym.. Beyond words.

Relax and Restore yourself
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/06
This was such a very special visit. I felt like I had stepped back in time and spent a few days at the White House. I enjoyed everything about it with the exception of not being able to wear jeans.Ha. One morning while at breakfast I told my husband I felt like I was on the Titanic on voyage to the US. Our ship had good results. He thought I was ...

Loved it, it was the highlight vacation of my lifetime (and I have been some places)!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/05
The Greenbrier was the epitome of taste, class and relaxation combined. There was always a variety to activities in which you may or may not participate. The food was to say the least outstanding. I was so relaxed in this atmosphere, it was a refresing experience to not have to rush to "do something". We stayed in one of the cottages and it was truly wonderful.
Thank you all, it was the best vacation in my lifetime.

A Norman Rockwell-esque getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/05
We have visited the Greenbrier many times in the past and have been thrilled with our vacation every time. But the experience that trumped all the others was our visit last summer over July 4 holiday.
There were parades, watermelon picnics, a circus on the grounds, hat and flag making contests, pool parties...everything a family could ever ...

As good as it gets
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/05
I could spend everyday here and not get bored. The golf, tennis and spa facilities are all first class. The hotel is beautiful. I love spring at the Greenbrier, but every season brings something special. The service at the Hotel is first class. I suggest staying in one of the cottages on the grounds. It is a bit more expensive but worth it. ...
