I cannot think of one thing I liked about this place. When we walked in, there was a definite odor. Our room was *horrible*. The carpets were dirty, obviously not vacuumed before we came. The bathroom was dirty. There were holes in the wall and the corner of our ceiling looked like it was about to fall in. The towels all smelled soured. Nothing ...

great place for family wanting more than one room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/09
When my husband and I are traveling alone together, we usually stay at the Ritz Carlton or similar. When our preschoolers are with us, our top priority is a separate bedroom for them to share, a kitchen, and a pool and family friendliness. No scowling looks if the kids are being kids. This place has it all at a very decent price. plenty of room to ...

Not the best

I was very confused. It was not what we expected, at all. I mean I understand getting less for less... but no fridge? No coffee pot? Odd parking, and kinda dirty. All I know is that Hotel 8 is better than this place, and The Inn is supposed to be apart of a huge resort. Also... if they tell you that it's 'near everything' don't ...

Beautiful mountains and great outdoor activities!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/08
The Inn at Snowshoe is a clean and decent family oriented facility. I have taken my family a couple times and stayed there. It is not a high class Inn, in fact it could use a few touch ups but it is much cheaper and the indoor pool keeps the kids happy leaving a little more money for other activities on the mountain.
This place had a great deal $434 comes with two tix for two people for two days, two lessons, two rentals. fri, sat night. awesome deal esp. when I went with three beginners. couldn't ask for more. i never stayed in the room so service wasn't an issue and of course locations isn't the best but im not gonna spend $300 more to stay 10 minutes up the hill... we're students
I stayed there for 2 nights and that was enough. The place is not very attractive, has sort of an institutional feel to it. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow (although the food wasn't bad). The room was very basic - no frills at all. The carpet smelled in our room (I made the mistake of trying to sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag ...
Loved the trip up there. My wife and I are avid snowboarders and we took up the offer for $105 a day including lift and lodging for TWO! Great rates and convenient.

Comfortable, clean and a good location

We stayed at the Inn at Snowshoe on our recent trip to the Cass Scenic Railroad. It was on the same highway about 15 minutes down the road. The price is $79 for a room with two double beds, which with tax comes to about $85. The room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning and cable tv, but for the price I think it could have been more up ...
We stayed at the Inn for two nights, midweek deal, which was perfectly priced and the best deal ever at this resort! It is not the Ritz Carlton that's for sure, but for the price it is well worth it. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large! The only thing I would have liked to have different about the room is a mini ...
my kids love going there, after a long day of snowboarding just playing in the pool. And the package deals are wonderful!! It is convenient to the mountain, and we just like it. We have stayed here 3 years in a row, and are going back next month!!
