My husband and I went to Glade Springs and stayed in the Executive Suite. We had a 4 day, 3 night stay, and as much as I hate to say this, we couldn't wait for our stay at this dump to end! Our terrible experience began when we checked into our dirty room. The worst thing I've ever seen...there was SNOT all over the handtowels in the ...

Got Mice?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/08
Glade Springs has those too! We had to make sure our suitcases were kept off of the floor so we did not take one of those creepy vermin home with us! When we checked in we were given a "key" to the goody cabinet (should we choose to partake). However when we got to the room the cabinet was broken with a big "Out of Order" sign ...

Got roaches?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/08
They have them at Glade Springs. You may even find one in your food like I did. I am serious, folks. Stay away from this hole in the wall at all costs!
We ( a golf group ) have used Glade Springs as a stop-over from Ohio for a warm-up round or two of golf on our way to North Carolina. The Cobb course is a fun track and in nice shape whenever we have played it, but the Stonehaven course blows it away. Stonehaven is a better layout and much more scenic. We will play it from now on and skip the ...
The Inn was new and nicely decorated and very clean. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. The service at the desk was good and the staff was friendly.

Calling Glade Springs a "Resort" is truly a stretch.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
Unfortunately there is only one postive experience I can name, The Stovehaven golf course. We found the Cobb course resembles any public course in the US. Glade Springs is absolutely NOT a resort. There is no atmosphere, EXTREME lack of service, and very average food. I did not encounter any employee over the age of 25 and the lack of ...
The housekeeping staff at Glade Springs are without a doubt the hardest working department at the resort. There are currently approximately 12 housekeepers employed at the resort to take care of 203 accommodations. The $12 housekeeping fee is not for this severely understaffed department, as only $1 out of every $12 is divided amongst the workers, supposedly as a way to ensure getting a tip. What they do with the extra $11 is unknown.
I scheduled a pedicure at the spa. Now when I think of a spa at a place like Glade Springs I think of a luxurious, relaxing, calming place to go. Was I ever shocked. Not only is the spa located in the athletic facility it is very small. The windows in the waiting room were so soiled I could hardly see out them, and the furniture was not what ...

I am an event planner, I've had nothing but problems with this place. I was told their conference room was available, then it wasn't, then it was again. I was quoted a great price on the conference room and beverages, at the last minute before I would completely confirm with them they changed the price by $100 per day (we were going to use ...
