My expectations fell short upon entering the room. It was not very clean. There was something brown on the wall in the bathroom above the toilet paper holder not a place to put your soap in the shower, one outlet for your dryer, Huge old school tv, old alarm clock, the glass was not clean on top of the end tables,.I have stayed in Holiday Inns ...
I reserved a room confirmation no 40F2A5 March 3, 2008 for the Women of Faith conference. The reservation was for Friday 8/22/08. I called to check on this room three weeks ago and was told they could not guarantee me two double beds even though that is what my confirmation states. On this date 8/19/08 I discovered that our reservations for the ...
The Adolphus simply does not compare with hotels such as the St. Regis in Houston. There was no one to open the door for us and help with baggage when we arrived. The man who checked us in was snippy, rather than gracious. This same person acted entirely put out when I was locked out my room and my card didn't work, and very disagreeably asked, ...
I was excited about the prospects of staying at this "supposed" 5 star hotel. Reality set in when I entered my room. It was large and roomy but this was due to the sparse furnishings. The web site promised flat screen TV's with DVD's. My room sported a 10 year old Philips 19" "fat boy" without even so much as a VHS ...
It was luxurious but you are charged for extra things like in-room coffee. The lights were not all working. But we got a good price so I can't complain.
The light above the desk was out, the light in the vanity mirror was out, there was about 1/4 inch of dust on the sconces in the bathroom, and there was minibar food left on the end table in the sitting area of our room.
The employees were the only good thing about the hotel. Very helpful, very nice.
I was there for a convention and the hotel staff remained consistently pleasurable even in the face of 10,000 tired, cranky executives. Everyone greets you with a smile and addresses you as "Ma'am" or "Sir". It's in the heart of the revitalized downtown and close to the new scene there, and a brisk walk to public ...
I visited the Adolphus on Sunday December 10th 2006 on business. The hotel is very elegant given that it is a historic building. The room was spacious and clean with a pretty bathroom. The ballrooms were nice, not too cold and the catered food was delicious. The staff were all very friendly. The gift shop was a nice size packed with all kinds ...
Need to try something with value for money..then come here try this place you can't beat good service for your dollar. staff outstanding. great location, comfortable, exellent.
The Adolphus is unequaled in its history, romance and elegance. The rooms and bathrooms are exquisitely appointed. Room service is fit for royalty, as is the impeccable service. Dinner in the French room is an evening of delight and well worth the price of the package. The Adolphus is not just a hotel, it is an experience, a destination in itself, a unique moment in time.
