A good value, a clean hotel

This was a fair value. It was clean, the staff was helpful, the accomodations were fairly priced. The location is in downtown Austin so good if you're there to visit the capitol or the many bars in that area.
I would have preferred some amenities, like a small fridge and microwave in the rooms.
But the place obviously has a very good cleaning ...

Just Ok- if you want near the capital

Chose the location for easy walking to the capital while my husband was at the Texas Department of Public Safety taking a test. That was achieved. However our room was in need of a face lift. The room is somewhat small, the bath tub drained very very slow and the bed spreads looked dingy and well worn. For the July Texas heat the air ...

Excellent value for location. No frills and fine wood, but I'd rather save the 50 - 100 bucks / nite to spend elsewhere... Nice sized room (king 404 top floor) with working desk area. Very nice staff. Called the room within 20 minutes of my arrival to make sure everything was good. Free paper, basic breakfast waffels, cereal, juice, etc. ...

The room was small, the bed was lumpy and you could feel the springs, the tub didn't drain well, me and my wife where woken up and kept up by a vending machine on the floor above us constantly going on and off from 130am to about 330am. The front desk was called once and they said that only one person was there and nothing could be done. Then ...

Best value downtown

This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in the downtown area. The rooms are no frills and the service is average, but you can't beat the price. Easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants on 6th & 4th streets. Best value in town, but don't expect much more than a basic, reasonably clean room in a safe, convienient part of town.
