We liked our stay at La Quinta Inn Galveston. Canyon at the front desk and Marta who graciously hosts the continental breakfast are exceptional! Great job girls! The beach is just across the street and all museums and other activities are close by. The only drawback is just the one un-air conditioned elevator for the entire inn.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/08
My family and I loved this place. True the pool could havee been cleaner, however the rooms were extremly clean upon arrival. The House Keepers were very helpful and good natured, a joy to be around the staff altogether was good people. We will be back if possible.
clean but a lot of traffic. woke up at midnite by. two young girls/ hookers. Again at 3 am . chambermaids knock ounce and in the door at 9am. I was asleep. again at 10:30 by maintenance still trying to have a nap. If you want to relax do not stay here. I guess it would be an easy place to find a friend

don't go to this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/07
First when you entered the room, there was a bad odor. You got used to it as you stayed in the room, but a definite odor. This is an older hotel that shows rust stains in the bathroom, stains on the comforter, no queen size beds etc. The sheets DID seem clean though. THere was hair in our sink ( from us using it) but when the maids came into clean, ...

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
I'm a business travler. I will never again stay at this hotel. It smells musty and wet, the rooms are dingy(the outside has been painted) and they need more desk help; the people they had on the desk were good, but they reeeeealllly need help. The showers look nasy and old. On a good note, the staff is good and they really do believe in ...

Horrible dirty run down hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/07
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! I have been a regular LQ customer for years and have always been pleased. So it was quite shocking to see these rooms, they were old, dirty, smelly, moldy, with horrible beds, terrible shower heads, and the bare minimums. They didn't look like LQ rooms! We had to check out early and cut ...
The room was very dirty. The carpet was in great need of cleaning. We stayed in room 136, as I do believe. It felt like the carpets had not been cleaned in years and it turned my husbands socks black almost instantly. I kept my shoes on the entire stay. Also, we found multiple hairs in the bed and bathroom. Not too cool. On the other hand the ...
This property needs to be kept up, they charge enough so that the rooms should be in tip top shape. I reserved two rooms, you would think that the rooms would have the same applainces, the same of everything. My room had a game to play in the computer, the other room had none but it did have a microwave oven. My room for some reason had no hot ...
I booked our trip to Galveston on-line and chose LaQuinta because we have always been pleased with them on other trips. This LQ is NOT like the others! We were told we had a view of the ocean--nope, we had a few of the delapidated houses that were behind the motel. By the time I had almost topped the third level of stairs (elevator on the ...
they gave me a bed, not a foot massage. I dont want a foot massage from a hotel. we had a view though. really beautiful. quiet. easy to get to. good continental breakfast. comforatble rooms. good price. fun fun fun!
