I have stayed here many times primarily because of its convenience to the bridge and to the cathedral. I stay here only when my group has a function.
Now that the renovation is completed, the rooms and the grounds are much nicer. When you go, ask for a room away from the back of the hotel, unless you like to hear the barking border patrol dogs all night long.

We recently stayed at La Posada, based on recommendations from several friends. Although the grounds are nice, our room was old and musty smelling. Some girlfriends and I wanted to go shopping in Mexico and stayed in this hotel. It is a nice, clean hotel and I was very impressed. Some of the other hotels in the area were kind of scary, but I felt very comfotable at this hotel. There are two places to eat in the hotel. (stay away from the more expensive steak house because the mexican resturant serves almost the same things for less).
