Nice, but......This is a nice hotel, centrally located with shuttle service within a 3-mile radius.
Amenities: There is no microwave in the hotel rooms—they do have them if you request them. I highly recommend requesting on either when you make your reservation or as soon as you check in. Same with a refrigerator.

Great location but...Liked: location - great to walk to Heinz and PNC stadium.
Disliked: $26 for valet parking (difficult to park anywhere else is you don't know the area and the drive up was ridiculous of cars-diffcult to pull up) Room was 55 degrees when we walked in, hot water was brown, 2:30 AM loud drunks walking hallways to their room, housekeeping ...Was this review helpful? Wait Until They Finish Remodeling !!!!I am writing this review from the Hilton on my last day of a two week stay in this hotel. Newly Renovated!! GREAT!!My wife and I stayed here for a night away from the kids and we got upgraded to an newly renovated room which was unreal. An awesome view of the Mellon Arena! Room was by far the nicest room we have ever stayed in! Girl at front desk was so nice as was the men at the entrance way! Cannot go wrong at this hotel!!Was this review helpful? Save your money....there are better hotels within a 10 minute walk.As of September 20, 2007, don't waste your money staying at the Hilton Downtown Pittsburgh.
The condition of this hotel was less than adequate and the services and facilities need great improvement.

Not the caliber of a Hilton HotelWhen reviewing hotels in Pittsburgh, I chose the Hilton because it was the one hotel with a vacancy and I would get points from a reward program.
Next time I'm in Pittsburgh I will fore-go the rewards. The did not have proper noise abatement, I could follow conversations of my neighbors and listed to construction noise for four hours. Great location but...........My first time to Pittsburgh on business. Stayed here as it was close to what I had to do. It definitely has a beautiful view of the river.

Great location, poor serviceI went to check in on a Sat. afternoon and there was a long line. The desk people were understaffed, only 2 people working at the time. The person who checked me in was a manager and her reaction to my comment they need more people was just "what are you gonna do?" No apologies for the wait. Great Place!!This was a great hotel. I would highly recommend it. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tired propertyThe Pittsburgh Hilton is a good value. The bedding was comfortable and the view was nice.
Parking is a hassle. The rate is $24 a day for valet. We opted for free street parking after 6pm. The downside? You have to move the car before 7am due to parking regulations.
