The Red Caboose is making a come back. They have a new owner who is really fixing the place up. He added a playground, and the petting zoo is up and running. The kids absolutely love it. Plus the food is great... The red caboose is located only minutes from the sight and sound theator and tons of shopping outlets. I would recommend it to all families.

My husband and I live only 45 minutes away and wanted a weekend getaway. We rented a 1/2 caboose for him and I. It was clean, everything worked. It is under new management and Mr. Larry is doing a bang up job. The place was packed all weekend so it can't be that bad. The restaurant food was all homemade and delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

I have been visiting the area for the last 15 years, this motel has changed for the worst. The gift shop off the dining car had pin ball machines installed. These machines have no place here, This place should be restored to its origional state, bringing back the origional lure that keeps me and so many others comming back. the way it is now could be one of the reasons why it is not doing so well. So how about it?

My Husband recently stayed overnight. He was so excited telling me about it. I had to laugh, since I had stayed there 25 years or so ago as a child. I know many people have complained, but there is a new owner who is trying to fix the place and restore it to when I was a child. Many of the problems stated are being worked on by the current owner.
We plan to go back in a few weeks and take our two toddlers with us.

The caboose was a unique and fun experiance. the surroundings quiet amish farms and the strasburg railroad. my wife and I loved it.
