Great ValueFor the price this is a great place to stay. Right on the Bay, a few blocks from the ocean, clean rooms and nice staff. I would stay here again. The place does need a paint job and some repairs. I have heard that the place is for sale...maybe some new management can do the upgrades.Was this review helpful? LOVELOVE LOVE IT !!THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO STAY ON THE COAST ~ THE HELP WAS SO NICE , ROOM CLEAN , AND A AWESOME PRICE FOR SUCH A GREAT LOCATION AND VIEW, EASY TO BEACH , AND INCREDIBLE VIEW OF SUNSET AND OCEN . This is the nastiest hotel I have ever seen & the manager is rude & has no idea what she is doing.The place was filthy from the lobby to the room. Garbage all over the place. Drunken employees: you recite your worst hotel experience & I gurantee it would apply here. The manager was obviously out of her depth & it appeared the drunken employees (on & off duty) were in charge: not the manager! We had a reservation but did not ...Was this review helpful? Great Escape Durring StormWe are just 2 regualr women who have fallen in love with Crab Fishing and Waldport is the place to do it! We come all the way from southern California. We stayed in this Howard Johnsons for 5 nights. The room was clean and comfy. The service was great and the room service was prompt and affordable.

Resort? HA! $90 dollars down the drainThis place was horrible for it's price. Most motel 6's are superior. The bathroom was cramped and dirty. The pool was exteremly old. The only thing that was new was the TV set, everything else had been heavily used. No clock in the room. The halls were a sickly pinkish color.
