My experience at this hotel was AWFUL. The room was 80 degrees and even though I told them 5 times and had at least 2 engineers look at it, it was never fixed during my stay. The window pane had a HUGE crack in it that I was so paranoid about it due to the fact that I had to keep the window open the whole time to try and cool the room down. I ...
I was on business and needed a room for only one night. The staff at the Tudor were very accomodating for a one night stay and I was fortunate to have been placed in a great room with a wonderful view of the city and the river. I didn't have much worrk to catch up up and was planning on just resting. With a full moon rising and a great view ...

2 night weekend stay for my wife and friends and we all agreed that it was a very good value for NYC.Did not eat there but the rooms were clean and had everything in them that we needed.Would stay there again in a NYC minute.
Dislike a) The website lies and misinformation of other charges include wireless access and vallet parking. Vallet Parking is actually $45 per day and Wireless is around $14 to $15.
b) Front Desk. Professionally dress but they will charge you for all to any services. Staff told me that ...

The food in this hotel is a bit expensive so go to 2nd Ave lots of places to eat there ( breakfast is ok) We had a great room very clean, the front desk was very fast checking us in even though we arrived early. Would we return? You bet we will

Won't be staying here again

The people at the front desk were rude. We had requested 2 beds and were told they only had 1 with a roll away.(Mom and dad and 2 teen sons) We had to rearrange furniture to make room for one son to sleep on the floor with the roll awaytouching the foot of the bed and wall for 2nd son.. Our luggage had to be stored in the bathtub. When we asked for 2 extra blankets, 30 min. later 2 sheets were brought up.

Great Hotel for the Price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/07
My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got a bargain introductory rate on the hotel website. The staff was courteous and efficient. It is close to everything and very quit.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced for NY..very clean, great staff. The 2nd avenue location is a bit off the path, depending upon what you are doing in the City, but otherwise it was a very positive experience that I would highly suggest to anyone.

Good Location/Not So Good Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/06
If you're looking for a great location in NYC this one is convenient to Arts District, shopping/5th Ave, bars/eateries. The rooms are small but nice and the hotel is nice also. Just had some problems with the hotel service. I noticed several other people at the front desk as we would pass in and out of the hotel that seemed to be upset with ...
