  • Enjoyable and comfortable
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/09
I read dozens of reviews before we went for a four night stay, so I had a pretty good idea of what to look out for. Not surprising, I found some people have been way too hard on this "resort." We found the room very clean and the bed very comfortable. We booked two packages consecutively, so the wonderful hot breakfast buffet was ...

  • wonderful staff
    By women of Hope, 05/28/09
my husband and I have stayed here for 3 years in a row and LOVE IT! The place is clean and the staff is AMAZING!! We brought our motorcycle this time around and the battery died. We were potentially stuck at the hotel until we were able to get to an auto store (outside of town) to get a new battery. A staff member saw my husband in the parking lot, ...

  • DOWN HILL!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/09
Ever since Mr.Penroze sold his luxury resort it has gone down hill!! I have been going to The Georgian for over 10 years and had no complaints until now.The rooms have become unclean. Once considered a family resort has gone down to people partying in their rooms to the morning hours blasting music and no action was taken after many complaints to the unpleasant staff. Sadly to say it as changed and i will not be staying there this summer.

  • Horrable hotel
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/08
Thiis hotel is anything but luxury. The room that we stayed in costed us 300 dollers a night. While there a piece of plaster from the cealing fell on my head, we also found a fake toenail in the doorway. When we decided to use our jet tube dirt came out of the jets. When we complained about the hotel they basically told us there is nothing they ...

  • Luxury is NOT at all what is was!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/07
Oh my, what do they do with their profits, which must be a great deal of money for what they charge! They certainly don't update or maintain their property. (They actually do the minimal to get by.) This place is truely a dump! Many many things didn't work in the room, inlcuded the key to enter the room. Come on! I think you people ...

  • Nice but expensive
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/07
We have visited Lake George many times and stayed at a few different motels on canada street. The Georgian has been the nicest one so far and we have had a nice time there. My only complaint is that I think the prices for the rooms are to high. Spending $250 per night for a room is way to much money.

  • Not worth the money
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
I never would have stayed here based on the reviews and pictures. Friends had booked it for a group of us. We stayed for three nights. It has good points and bad points:
    BAD:
The price of a poolside room was $279/night! I got it down to around $251/night with AAA. Some of the poolside rooms have a slight musty smell, our friends had to move ...

  • No time soon
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/23/07
I checked this "luxury" resort out on their website prior to visiting which was a mistake. The rooms, naturally, looked a lot better. I was there for a family wedding. It wound up to be a motel. It needed some updating, but it was clean except for the big spot on the rug. Since, I guess, it was just opening for the season, the ...

  • Avoid this hotel!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/10/07
Well first off let me start by saying my husband & I went here for our anniversary as just a little getaway. We had met in lake george & stayed here 8 years prior. I will say this much, it hasn't been updated or maintained in those 8 years. Let me list several highlights for us on our room. The ceiling had huge brown water spots in ...
