Condemned by the Niagara Falls City Fire Marshall since an alleged fire on 6/14/08. This filthy, dilapidated hotel had been bankrupt and in receivership for the past 4 years. It will never reopen.

It was filthy, air conditioning was broken, bathrooms were disgusting. I'd rather sleep in my car. Don't stay here no matter what. Staff would not even switch our filthy room with broken air conditioning to another one! And it was soooo hot!

Had a great time, food was good, staff were great.
Hotel is old and it shows is places, however everything was clean and the price was right.

we liked all of it-everything about our stay was comfortable-enjoyable-food was good-beds were comfortable-room was clean-pool was refreshing service was friendly -- will come back again for another weekend away

I too stayed while that Hockey team was staying,If your looking for sleep after a long day don't bother cause your not going to get any sleep here. We went on the Thanksgiving weekend and there was a hockey tournament and they were also staying there. The teams were all very unruly and they were very noisy playing ball hockey till 11 at night and running through the halls at night. Running around and making a big mess in the pool area. To whom this may cuncern the rooms are always dirty everytime i needed something i had to find it myself or go to the front desk and you have two of the most rude housekeepers that work there for you i normaly don't give name but this time i do. Kim and Christina D.

We stayed at the Inn on the River Hotel recently and found it to be quite good.
Indoor pool was clean and warm, however the sauna wasn't operational.
Lobby area was clean and we were checked in and out quickly.
Rooms were clean and comfortable....
Hotel is close to great shopping and offered a great view of the Niagara river.
Staff were pleasant and offered assistance when asked......
We would stay there again..........

Went to Niagara Falls, needed a place to sleep, stayed at Inn on the River, Had a great time.

Most of the negative reviews must be posted by Canadians, the Tourist Trap of the Falls... NY side had more tranquill, nicer time, and interesting facts about the falls.

So we got a value at the Inn on the river, all we needed it for was to sleep! ...
