We recently stayed at La Mer again and their new buidling is great. Large rooms, wonderful full ocean views and the same friendly staff that have been there for years. The rooms and balconies are huge and beautifully furnished with granite counters and stainless appliances. They have high speed internet too, which is hard to find in Cape May. If you are looking for a new hotel, with all the modern conveniences, La Mer is the place!

we have been to La Mer a few times. The best rooms are in the annex facing the ocean. The room was spacious and clean. Another time we went we had an oceanview room and the balcony was so small and you really couldnt see anything except the side of another building. I was very disappointed that time. Pay the extra $ for a room in the annex- oceanfront with balcony.Also the free donuts in the office in the am disappear quickly!!!!
