Location: The location is terrible; you can't walk anywhere so you're totally reliant on having a car or using the free shuttle to/from the airport to get anywhere and there is nothing but roads near the hotel itself. On the plus side it is not very close to central Newark, which is not a very nice place to be.
Service: The staff are ...

Terrible experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/07
Terrible experience. I had called a few times to let them know I will not be there before 6 PM but that I was going to be there. I even called close to 8 PM letting them know I will not get there before midnight. Once I got there they had given away our room and charged me for it. There were no rooms left. We were told to go to Holiday Inn ( ...
I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel after reading some of the reviews posted here, but was pleasantly surprised with our experience there. I'll break this down piece by piece and address all the areas of concern.
PARKING: Yes, there is a $15 per day parking fee, but as anyone who has stayed in the NYC area before knows, there is ...

What happened?!?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/06
From all the reviews and pictures this looks like an excellent place to spend a night. Clean and inexpensive. Who would give up on it? I call the hotel and ask them about the shuttle service upon arriving at the airport. 20 minutes go by and there is still no shuttle to pick myself and the up. 10 more minutes pass and we call again. The lady ...
The hotel was very clean and with excellent service. The restaurant was very good. In addition to this the staff was very kind. Up on my return to Newark, I will stay in this hotel.

don't stay here- con artists!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/06
This place is in the middle of nowhere. Literally no way to even walk to a 7-11, in a cluster of highways. When I asked the front desk to call me a cab, an unlicensed driver in an unmarked car showed up in about a minute. I think it was the clerk's relative or boyfriend. He proceeded to take me about 5 miles and try to shake me down for 45 ...

The hotel is very good. It has got a very good proximity to the Airport and regular shuttles to and from the airport make commutation easy. the only dis-advantage of this hotle is that we have to pay for the parking. Otherwise, it is a good hotel to stay at the price we pay!!

Great night for the price! I recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/06
I have recently stayed in several hotels in the NYC area...all costing more than 2-3 times the Newark Ho Jos. Without a doubt, the Newark Airport Ho Jos beat them all by far! Convenient location, quick to NYC. Surprisingly quiet for being next to the airport and the NJ T'pike tolls.
Yes, there is a $15 charge for parking, but even when ...

Won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/06
The hotel does not have an adequate restaurant, but the food served is better then having to find another place to go,seems they like the idea of sending patrons up the street to their other location a Holiday Inn for food and drink as this location is alcohol free,no bar at all. You always have to wait longer then promised for their ...
