1) The Dana Place charged my credit card $45 more than the price they originally gave me on the phone when I booked the room. This is because they give themselves a 15% and off of the patron's credit card without authorization.

Food is good.
Place in need of much repair. I noticed little things that does not cost much to remedy---like shaking out the front mat that seemed to be holding 10 lbs of grit. Mattress completly sagged in the middle. Overpriced for what you got. Will not be back.
The owners should sell to someone willing to bring it up to standards.

This place is a has-been. It was confirmed to me that the owners are older and don't care. It's obvious. They obviously get a lot of complaints as evidenced by my overhearing the manager to an employee "wow, a whole weekend without complaints". It was dirty and rundown and moldy smelling. Carpet throughout is skanky. Yuck. Don't do it.................

Our experience at the Dana Place Inn was very poor and we were very disappointed. The Inn is in need of a good cleaning, general up-keep, and in our opinion certainly not worth the price. Our experience went from poor to awful due to the manner which we were treated by the front desk.

The rooms were small and need attention. The restaurant was excellent! We purchased the map plan.Two dinners,breakfasts,and one box lunch.If I were to stay somewhere else I would go back just to eat.

we were there on labor day weekend of 2004. inn is cozy and nothing spectacular, but it's got its own charm. food is okay. but the surronding is beautiful. nice stream, woods..etc. room is okay, but clean. a bit over priced but not out of control either. i think we'll go back again. by the way, i do stay at places like ritz-carlton when i go to stay in big cities or resorts.
