Run don't walk away from this place. They do not honor their own web offers once you arrive. If you go during the ski season make sure you have a 4 wheel drive because a car with chains will not make it up the steep icy road. ( They tell you that once you check in) The internet service is horrible it keeps dropping even n the overpriced Hotel ...
The place was beautiful and close to Heavenly Valley. The only downside was the slow shuttle service to the Mtn, but the shuttle drivers were nice people.

nice location, lousy service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/07
I think this "hotel" is designed for timeshares, because it's clearly not service-oriented in a way that would inspire hotel guests to return. When I checked in and asked about breakfast options, I was told to consult the guidebook, beause I looked like someone who liked to read.
I do like to read, but if answering a simple ...

Like being close to heaven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/07
The views are spectacular. The cleanliness is above average. So much to see and do. Loved the sauna and indoor/outdoor pool and spa. Can't wait to go back.

We were very disappointed....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/07
We were very disappointed in the Ridge Tahoe. We have traveled to most ski areas in the US and Canada and typically try to stay in a ski in/ski out 4 or 5 star property. The Ridge was advertised as this and we definitely felt that it didn't come close. We arrived late and were put in a 2 BR unit that was incredibly outdated and poorly ...

kids look forward to it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/07
We have been coming for several years and have few complaints. The kids club facility etc are okay but not a substitute for family activities or a nanny service. Therefore, we were happy with the few planned activities such as art class and a valentine making party that were provided. The kids were not yet ready for skiing so we were pleased to use ...

Beware of your expectations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/24/06
I am surprise to see the positive reviews and wonder if people are just too tired to report negatives. I guess you have to be fortunate to come to good employees and services. I do agree with one of the reviewers that some of the employees at Ridge Tahoe do have very serious attitude problems. We took skiing vacations as a family many times to ...

Our 20th trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
The Ridge is one of the most spectacular resorts we have ever been to. The service, food, location, views, and the resort itself is great.
We went to check out the Ridge because we heard of the great activities for kids and we are in the market to purchase a timeshare week in Tahoe. We went unannounced and not to a planned "sales pitch". We received a master key and were sent alone to check out the room that they "thought" was vacant, but told to knock first ...

A GREAT PLACE TO STAY.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/05
We really enjoyed our stay at The Ridge Tahoe. It snowed 96" while we were there, thank God for the covered parking. Our room was great and the service from everyone was wonderful. When it snowed so much that we couldn't get our car up the mountain, the shuttle was right there for us.
