I stayed there in 2005 cause if it location to the strip and never had a problem ither than my air condtion unit didnt work when I got there but the fixed it johnny on the spot. Had a good time there, real good value and location made it the place to stay. Was hoping to stay there again next year but found out they closed the place down
We stayed there four or five times. After the first two, the staff remembered our names. The casino was small and friendly, with $3.00 blackjack tables. The comps were generous and the casino hostess was very helpful. R.I.P., Boardwalk.

Gone forever...a crying shame
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/07
I've been to Vegas only once back in July of 05 and was thinking of going back. Looked up the Boardwalk where I stayed last time and was shocked to learn it's gone! What a shame. Even though it wasn't the greatest hotel it was clean enough and it's location was perfect. Not only that but not being huge I could leave my room and be ...

It was the best ever.

The Boardwalk was The Place to stay in Las Vegas. Center Strip location so you're withing walking distance of most everything; quirky little casino with an "old Vegas" kind of vibe; Pretty decent entertainment and drinks in the lounge; the only 24-hour buffet around (with pretty decent food, to boot.)
Very cheap, and it is also in a pretty good location, but to be honest, when you're in Vegas you want a bit more class. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, but we had a problem with the toilet over flowing that took a while to sort. (Staff not terribly helpful.)
The bath was tiny, but then most hotel baths are. Didn't like the ...

The place was pretty much located in middle of strip. Its old so be prepared. The elevator was really slow. This place is not really where people hang out. Casino is less than ok. Boardwalk is bearable if all you are doing is sleeping there.
This was a cool place to stay that was affordable and located on the strip. We were close to many attractions and were able to walk to nearby casino's. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is afraid they cannot afford a trip to Vegas.

Extremely cheap, great location, great low stakes tables... and it closed on Jan 9th 2006. I went there in late 2005 and had an absolute blast. It was convenient to all the great spots on the Strip.
