This was a great girls' weekend get-a-way! The rooms were very nice; upstairs club over Freemont was great; the pool bar was an awesome place to hang out; the food was incredible; and the hotel staff was impeccable!

The Golden Nugget is a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend. The rooms are clean, the food is excellent and the staff are beyond friendly. I would definitely recommend the Golden Nugget to all of my friends.

I can't believe that they are building a new tower and not upgrading the south tower -- unless they plan on tearing it down. Replace the rugs and changes the bedding and it would be all good -- I love the Golden Nugget but that left a sour taste. We enjoyed everything. We didn't win big but we didn't lose. the room was nice. and having fremont street just out the doors was great. And you can ride the duce down to the strip.

Well worn hotel would be the kindest phrase. Seems we're always stuck in the south tower and only have parking lots to see. We also booked three months ahead and were told we were lucky to get the last room - why wasn't one saved for us and we arrived at 1 p.m. We never ate there so don't know about food. Personel were okay. Need newer slot machines. They are building a new tower so maybe the rest will be updated. Like the downtown

All these reviews are VERY old...I've read many newer reviews with many raves. I'm booked for a stay in July '09 and I hope that THE GOLDEN NUGGET lives up to their most recent reviews. Got my fingers crossed and my expectations on high. Patrick C.
