This is a great place to spend a great New Years Eve with that special someone for a nice sweet romantic weekend. There is alot of new resturants and plenty of night life.

I had to stay at the Mariott Renaissance for a conference recently. The location was wonderful: right on the waterfront, and you can easily get to the Detroit People Mover (an elevated tram around downtown). The food the hotel provided to the conference was pretty good; the service and ammenities left quite a bit to be desired.

We are a family of 5, who have made many vacation trips to Michigan, and also the Ren. center, we had a great time, I am coming upon my 50th Birthday, and my family wishes to bring me back ... I coudln't think of a better place to stay, while celebrating!

The Marriott hotel located in the Detroit Renaissance Center is absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic shops, plus on-site access to Detroit’s People Mover which is also awesome! This is the place to stay in Detroit; directly on the Detroit River, with view of Windsor, Canada on the other side.

Everything was absolutely marvelous. I was amazed and astonished at the service.This should absoluetly be a 5 star hotel.

Every year I turn into an uber geek and go to the Holly Grove, MI Renaissance Festival...Now as you know, usually many of the hotels close by are full. Well, this one is worth the drive to Detriot and back. They have great rooms, a great place to eat, and its also right down the road from Greek Town! They may be a bit on the costly side sometimes but it is well worth it.
