We stayed here midweek after Labor Day. The weather was perfect and the grounds were beautiful (no whining kids helped a lot). You'll enjoy the 1/2 mile walk or buggy ride to the hotel. The property is beautiful and expansive (and expensive during peak season). We got a good off season rate on a lakeview room ($99), and really enjoyed the ...
The service was excellent. Enjoyed our three nights there. Shower head could of been a lil bit taller.Beautiful flowers all around resort.I got a bit frightened when we came across a few bats flying in the upstairs hallway, but all in all it was a great vacation.

Hospitality Perfection

We had a great experience here. The staff was incredibly friendly and I found that to be from servers to managers. All were eager to help and answer questions. It is a shame that only the complainers tend to post on these sites because you would miss a great experience. We loved the Epicurean restaurant...great steak dinner! The buffet in the ...

If anyone tells you this is a nice hotel they are insane, or… have never stayed in a nice hotel. Its no better then a good Motel! Very old furniture, old carpet in the ...

Mackinac Island is about the experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/09
I have not yet stayed at Mission Point, but I have stayed at several hotels on the island including the Grand Hotel. None of the hotels are very nice. They are all old and in various phases of decay including the Grand. I am a local (you can see Mackinac Island from where I live) and we all realize this about the island. If you are looking for a ...
My wife and I travel to Mackinac Island ever summer during the lilac festival. It coinsides with our wedding anniversary. So we pick a different hotel/resort/bed and breakfasteach time we go. Years ago we thought going to Misssion Point would be a great idea, we did this year. I hope that my post might save another couple/family from disaster. ...
If you want amenities equivalent to a good hampton inn, don't come to mission point resort; in fact; don't even stay on the island overnite.
People stay at MPR because they want to stay on the island for several days and nights, have a hotel amenities including a pool NOT for resort level service and foot rubbing.
There are several ...
