I agree with the other reviews..frosty staff, full of themselves there are no amenities..and I'm sorry, but offering to drive someone into town for a tube of toothpaste.. for $200+ a night you would think they could put a tiny soap and shampoo in the room.
But..my worst discovery was to pull back the sheets to find long hairs on the pillows, ...

View is really nice, but for $260 per night (and with tax it's $280) you get a 14x14 room, queen bed, dresser, one chair, and the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. Verizon cell service doesn't work there. Only amenities were clock radio and hair dryer. Fan in closet in case you need it (we used it for white noise) because no AC. ...

Other reviews said that the staff is a bit "frosty" but I don't know what staff they are talking about! Everyone was friendly and willing to help on any task. For example, I had forgotten a few personal items, and a staff member offered to drive me into town to get them. I felt like royalty when I was staying at the Asticou Inn, and I know you will too.

Perfect setting right at the head of NEH. This is the perfect place to stay when in Acadia. Views, location - the Asticou has it all.

The restaurant was fantastic, the view was amazing, the staff was very helpful and we can't wait to go back next year!
