When your in New Orleans what your looking for is to be close to the action. The Sonesta gave us that. The hotel was relatively clean and is located right in The French Quarter. We checked all over and found the Sonesta to be a good value the time of year that we traveled. Our overall experiance was a "Once in a Lifetime" trip. If we can afford it we would absolutely visit New Orleans again.
