I am a repeat visitor at the Royal Sonesta. I visit New Orleans every year for Southern Decadence and this was the forth time staying at the RS. Previous years have been fine however this year I did not have a good experience. My friend and I would get ill after spending 30 minutes or more in our room (I believe it was due to a mold problem) Both ...
If you take your pets be prepared to walk about 6 blocks to find the first patch of grass for your dogs to relieve themselves. You'll have to walk all the way to the river to find grass. Parking was $31+a $3.72 tax !! And when all other hotels offer free internet I was charged $10.85 a DAY for internet. For the three days I was there I paid ...
This place has an amazing chef, ask for Stan he was really nice. I can't say anything bad about this place, everything was great! We can't wait to go back!

Which means that once you leave the room and there isn't any motion, the thermostat goes back to what ever it is that they program it to. If it is ...
Royal name but not so Royal Rooms Average room, nice tv, bath tub to shallow, toliet paper roll was broken fell everytime you touched, iron barely worked, no line to check in or out just a mess of people hoping they are next. Located in the heart of the adult entertainment discrict, unsuitable for children, nothing special just another overpriced hotel.
I thought that this place may have been a bit loud during Mardi Gras, but it was the perfect location! We were even able to rent one of the balcony rooms for Friday and Saturday night! Great location!
I loved the hotel and the people were friendly. Catch 22 you have to park in an underground garage in order to get in or out of the hotel. Every time you leave or enter the vallets expect tips. Also after you check out and pay for your room you have to pay for the parking underground. The whole parking thing with tips and my parking space cost me around 220.00 two days and a night. And there is no where to park on the street so be forewarned.
