The staff was superior, nice clean rooms and well stock, the atmosphere was very serene, was disappointed to leave, should have been rated a 3-4 star. Would recommend and would stay again.

just got home from a vfw convention and two others with us had to be moved to another room due to crabs in beds...am sure they will never stay there again !..lots of elderly there who dont need this pest...

The suites in the atrium are an excellent value and very roomy with all the extras including a small kitchen and 2 TVs so the kids don't have to fight over what to watch. Stayed there later part of 05, WOW... what a dump, I'll sleep in my car rather than stay there next time I'm in Alexandria. Room smelled, employee's rude, unshady characters walking around, people coming in off the street for the free breakfast which I'd like to add leave's a lot to be desired.... Just a very, very bad time

Definitely the best place to stay b/c of the indoor heated pool and hot tub in the atrium. Ask for a suite (extremely reasonable) with a sliding glass door in the rear that opens out to the pool area. Suites come with a living area and full kitchen.
