The Gold Vault Inn was clean, comfortable and fairly quiet for being a rather busy motel. My wife and I spent two pleasant nights there (Aug. 2007) when we drove out to Fort Knox to see our son graduate from bootcamp.

I thought this hotel was great compared to the other hotels nearby. It was nice and clean. Great location. Nice breakfast bar. The only thing I didnt like was the hotel desk cleark that was there, her son was always on the computer down in the lobby where guests could not use it.

Likes: clean; convientent location to shopping and travel (interstate and other main routes; close to Ft Knox; pool side room with seating next to the indoor pool right outside of my door; wires internet connection (signal very strong, no problems)

Everyone at this motel was friendly & helpful. It is amazingly clean. Our stay was wonderful!

this is the best hotel to go because its close to the base i live. so people i know can visit and stay there while visiting....

Our son is training at Fort Knox and we were there for family day weekend. I have already made reservations to go back for graduation. sons' stationed at ft knox, visited him for 'family day in oct ''05,stayed at super 8 right up the road from gold vault. BIG mistake...rooms were small, dirty & musty smelling. local waitress at 31w rest told us to try gold vault inn next time we visit.

I was told the hotel had a router and was wired for Wi-Fi. After I checked in, I tried to get on line and discovered I had to go out in the hallway, as suggested by the front desk to pick up the router.

1st room had a "smell" & was able to change rooms. Has Galaga the video game, I cant wait to go back & play!!! Location is great, food establishments nearby.
