The room was modern and clean but we checked out a day early because the bed was so hard. We could not get a good nights sleep. My four year old said upon sitting on the bed "Mom this bed is as hard as a rock".My husband travels for his job and he said it was the worse bed he has slept in.
I did not enjoy this hotel. The lobby isn't even connected to the hotel. No one helped us with our bags or anything. The elevator took about 5 miniutes every time to pick us up. One night we asked room service to bring more blankets to our room and we had to call 3 times because no one brought any up. The only thing that was decent was that it ...

Anniversary again

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary last year and we are returning for our 51st. We come to Chicago at least once a year and feel this is the best value for room and parking. Thank you
It looked dumpy and run-down. The chair was wobbly and the other furniture was badly aged. The heater clanked and kept me up: a warning to any light sleeper. Next morning, the breakfast was soggy, cold, tasteless and overpriced. I don't like cold eggs or coffee in styrofoam cups. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ...

Will not recommend this hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/06
I will begin by stating what my family and I liked about the hotel. The location was great.
Now here is the rest of the story. The brochure that was sent to us upon making reservations was deceiving with its picture of the rooms' modern decor and roominess. The rooms that we were given were small and had dull decor, not queen-size but ...
The facilities were very good. The room was clean and well-maintained. The parking services were convenient and easy to access. However, there was one very disappointing issue with the hotel. Fabulous
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/06
I loved this place...affordable, clean, cute, and so convenient to the Mag. Mile. It was excellent...the girl at the front desk was somewhat rude when we arrived, but that's ok. The price made up for it.
This motel was picked after carefully comparing prices and amenities. It is an older motel but kept very well. The free parking in downtown Chicago is a big plus. The outdoor terrace by the pool is a fabulous place to watch the city begin to light up in the evening.
We have vistied twice and will certainly visit again the next time we are in Chicago.
My wife and I have stayed at BW River North quite a few times, sometimes by ourselves and occasionally with friends & family. Two things keep bringing us back: Location (restaurants, shopping, Blue Chicago right around the corner, Hard Rock Cafe, Rainforest, etc.) and free parking - a rare find in this area and right on the hotel grounds. ...
We stayed at the River North during the first week of January. The service was quite good, and staff attentive when we had questions. The room was comfortable and realtively quiet for facing Ohio Street.
The floorplan of the River North is weird. Getting from one wing to the other involved some running of the maze, but once figured out, it was ...
