The beauty of this hotel is breathtaking. Your jaw will drop at first site. With that said, I would like to explain how my night at the Marriott Renaissance Resort was the worst hotel experience of my life. After an evening of romance, any sane person would like to get a peaceful nights sleep. Well let me tell you,the staff who work in ...

Luxury to the Extreme

It was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever seen or stayed at. It was very expensive but everything in Hawaii is expensive no matter where you are. But if you can afford it go for it, it's within walking distance of some shops and great views that you couldn't put a price on.

Great for a family

Everything was pretty much perfect. Yes the furnishings in the rooms need updating, but other than that it is a great place. We had two adjoining ocean view rooms and had breakfast out on our lanai every morning. It was awesome. The only thing better than that were the sunsets. It took about two minutes to get from our rooms to the beach. ...

By marlton7k, 11/20/06
This is a great place to relax on Maui. The hotel staff almosts waits on you. The rooms could use a bit of freshening but they were spotless. When we go back to Maui, this is where I will stay.

Have been to the Renaissance twice. The second time I was stuck there because after going to the activities desk in the morning, I learned that the World Trade Center was attacked. It was 9/11/2001. I have such fond memories of this place from the first and second visit. During 9/11 all guests at the hotel sat in the lobby/restaurant glued to ...

Loved the Renaissance!
By ampg74, 07/18/06
We just returned from our honeymoon and stayed at the Renaissance for 6 days (followed by 6 days in Kauai). We were very pleased with the Renaissance and our stay. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is beautiful and is a great size - not too big/small. Our room was a garden view with a private lanai and we ...

Fabulous stay... enjoy while you can!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/06
We loved our stay at this resort!! Everything about it location, beach, service etc... An absolutely great way to end our honeymoon (Oahu and Kauai prior). Unfortunately, they are going to shut this place down and eventually tear it down to make condos (at least thats what we were told). Was told they think this will happen either in September ...

We would definitely stay again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/06
This being our honeymoon and first trip to Maui we were both a bit nervous on what to expect. These feeling were soon put to rest by the excellent service, accommodation and atmosphere at the Renaissance.
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to assist us in making the trip the best possible. The hotels rooms were clean and well kept ...
