I will NEVER return to this property. The service was terrible. We reserved ocean "view" rooms and my room had, at best, a partial ocean view -- which I had to hang off my balcony to see a sliver of beach rocks. When I challenged them about this they said that is their room type. I told them all other properties would call that a ...
It was a very nice hotel in a great location. The price was high, but all are in Maui. There was construction, but it really didn't bother us. We snorkled everyday in front of the hotel and it was great. I don't like the parking fee, or the charge per minute for the internet. Overall, Maui is a great place and the people at the hotel ...

Love Maui- Wouldn't stay here again

I thought I had done a through research of the Wailea Marriott, but I missed a few things-
The spa charges an additional resort fee that is supposed to go for spa up ckeep and at 15% tip for the services. The problem is they don't tell you this until after they ask how much you want to tip. so instead of a 20% tip, I ended up leaving a 35% ...
We arrived and there was a small amount of construction underway. Nothing too intrusive. The room was outstanding, beautiful. Room 425. The view from the balcony was fine. The balcony was large and roomy. They could have put some potted plants in front of all the machinery on the adjacent roof to improve the view tremendously. There was a ...
The property is undergoing construction. The cost of our room was at a $373 base rate not including taxes...not the most expensive, but not the greatest value for what you get. If you can afford it, the Grand Wailea which sits right next door is a superior property which is where my wife and I have stayed at before. This property needs to be updated.

Our stay in Maui was the best vacation my wife and i have ever taken! Our stay at the Marriott began with Moses who checked us in. Moses is a fantastic person to deal with and knows the island extremly well. He was a big help in assisting us with the sights to see. After the Road to Hana, and visiting Upcountry, the Marriott was the best place to ...
This hotel is not directly on the beach. That however is probably it's only negative - and that isn't really a negative. Due the fact that this property is adjacent to beaches, but not directly on a beach, you can have an ocean front room that is REALLY next to the ocean. Other hotels need to be set back quite a ways from the ocean due to ...

We started going to this location in 1993 for our 25th anniversary and have been going back ever since. We like the spaciousness, spectacular view, and friendliness and helpful attitude of the staff. Although the management has changed a few time, the staff has remained the same for the most part and have become dear friends : Helena, the hostess ...

Nickel and Dime me with Poor Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/06
The service and location is pretty bad. We were at the hotel for a 2 1/2 week stay. The hotel advertises a fitness center, but they only had 2 tred mills in a temporary room. Unfortunately your automatically charged an extra 15 dollar resort fee on top of the room rate. Part of the charge is to cover the fitness center and a 20 percent discount off ...
