The carpeting smelled, the glasses were dirty, no hot water and old food left in Bar. The Bed was comfortable which was a good thing as I was to tired after exploring town to care to much. For the price I would not come back. Service was extremely poor and the continental breakfast was so bad I grabbed a donut at 7-11 which was better than anything at the hotel

The Seventeen Hundred Ninety is one of the niceset hotels I have ever stayed in. My wife and I stayed in room 206 during New Year's 2006, and it was great. I never have been much on the tourist traps, but my parents come into town from time to time and they always want to foot the bill at the 1790. Being a standard blue collar Joe, I find this restaurant incredibly high priced for the amount of food you receive. I would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for more than somewhere to have a drink and move on. I have never stayed the night in the Inn and I doubt I ever will.

We stayed at the Inn this spring and had a wonderful time in Savannah. We actually stayed in room 204 which is the 'haunted' room, but we didn't have any interesting or strange things happen. If you want that real romantic feel and want the person your with to enjoy the night...... This is your choice. But don't think you can coem here on with some change in your pockets. The menu is that of a very upscale place and the food is 5 stars.

If you are visiting Savannah, Georgia, this is the place to eat and stay at! The food was excellent and the service was top! Beautiful room decor. I can't wait to bring my family back again. You will not be disappointed with this choice!

We were guests 10+ years ago and it was excellent. Very romantic! Our room had a fireplace, and on the table was a bottle of wine and two wine glasses waiting for us!
