This is just your basic economy hotel. We liked the variety of the continental breakfast and the quiet location. The room could have been cleaner, the coffee maker had baked on coffee on the warming plate and the shower curtain rod had heavy rust on it and last of all the 15 year old tv couldnt even receive the local NBC channel without switching back and forth from black and white to color. We didnt try the pool because it looked so dirty.

Mold, Mildew and Dirt

This is one of the dirtiest hotel/motels that we have ever stayed at. We had to switch rooms to get a room with clean sheets as the beds weren't made in the first room and they had no extra sheets. The bathrooms were full of mold and mildew, made me wish I had brought my shower shoes. We had to hold our breath when we rode the elevator, since it smelled so bad.
Before going to the hotel we got a lovely e-mail that thanked us for staying with La Quinta. In the hotel we got a bottle of water and a cookie. The room was clean and there was plenty of space. Bless Jacksonville and La Qunita for being dog friendly. All ammenties such as coffee pot, blow dryer, and TV were nice and worked fine. Pool was not ...
I had a reservation at this dump through Orbitz. The first room they gave me had the overwhelming smell of urine or mold or something. It was absolutely unoccupiable. So I went back down to the desk and asked for another room. The clerk gave me another one, and it smelled the same. I was very aware that Orbitz probably wouldn't give me a refund, and I left anyway. It was worth the cost of another room to not stay in this disgusting dump.
During a difficult time and the death of a friends child, the staff and management repeatedly checked on the family and asked if there was anything that they could do to make them more comfortable. Then had dinner brought in for everyone. I travel alot and its a good feeling when people are not only willing to reach out to someone in need but to ...
I stayed one night in this hotel in July 2006 in preparation for a cruise. Overall the hotel was in a good location. Decent places to eat close by, no real resturants unless you count Shoney's in the same lot next door.
The continental breakfast consisted of cereal, bagels, muffins, sausage in the blanket (cold), various coffee and ...

A Poor Experience

Eventhough, the description of the facility indicated newly renovated a coat of paint didn't cover the filth that was apparrent throughout it. The sheets on both beds in the room had dog hair on them. The floor of the bathroom area had not been washed. The tub had dents and cracks that were patched in an attempt to disguise them. The pool ...
