Arriving at Carlton was Hell. The outside is run down, but teh Lobby is extremely nice(but from what I understand this is the only good quality of the hotel).
I go to check-in and I am told (for the first time) that the rooms must be paid for in advance (215 dollars per room - 3 rooms) AND 250 dollars per room for insurance. I was outraged ...

They had the worse attitude ever. I paid extra for the better room, but when I got there they did not have that room type available and they didn't care too much. I had an issue with the hotel tried several times to get it addressed and today almost 2 months later and still it is not resolved and funny part is everytime i call them to see ...

Just stayed at the Carlton for two nights. Terrible bed I had to buy an air mattress and slept on the floor,shower hardly worked,three hours waiting for help with air conditioner. The lady out front selling tours was the only friendly help! And she did not work for the hotel.

Five of us booked two rooms at Carlton hotel from Bookit for three nights to enjoy our first time in Miami. Unfortunately, we ended up feeling utterly cheated by the hotel photos, description, and the price.
