I liked the hotel and breakfast at the hotel, but I disliked how they billed me twice for the room and took a couple of weeks to clear it up when I brought it to their attention. The finance person seemed to never be in the office during regular hours and I had to keep leaving messages. It finally did get cleared up.

I will NOT return to this hotel. The service was awful. I requested a crib and did not get it to my room until one hour later. I call several times to the service desk, they were just not helpful at all. A guy then appeared at my door with a roll away bed. The room was not clean (hairs in the bathroom). Checking out took me about 45 minutes ...

We were 3 adults with one towel and one face cloth in the bathroom. A phone call got us ONE additional towel. We kept calling downstairs and got our towels and face cloths one at a time. The next day we had no/zero towels. This happened ALL 4 DAYS of our stay. The bathroom was too small; I am 5'2" and when I sat on the toilet my feet were against the bathroom door, my right arm rested on the sink and my left arm was on the tub.

Here is a place to certainly stay if you’re visiting the DC area. Everything is perfect, close by, and reasonable. You must try the top floor restaurant. This Holiday Inn was certainly a high point in my visit to Washington, DC.

Location is good. Very convenient to major DC attractions.

Breakfast food is poor compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed. Kids eat free, but not enjoy it.
Vending machine does not work on the floor I stayed.
No newspaper in the morning.

If you want to visit DC this is an inexpensive hotel within 2 blocks of a subway station that will take you to all the attractions.
