We called the hotel 2 weeks prior to book one king size room and one with 2 queen beds. We got the booking confirmations but when we arrived, the hotel was fully booked and they couldn't get us a 2-queen room making it our own mistake not to confirm with them again prior to the day we checked in. We had no choice as we drove 6 hours to get ...

Would not stay again

Room quality low for the extreme high price and distance away from beach uncceptable. bathroom fan did not work. Requested non smoking room smelled like smoke and had to be moved. The replacement room had a stale odor. Date of stay 07/14/2007 -07/15/2007
I was not expecting much so was very pleased when I arrived to find a very friendly staff and a beautiful pool and lagoon with 3 ducks. I am going back to Santa Barbara next month and making the same reservations.
I will never go back. We went to visit the University of Santa Barbara found the rooms are clean but all is in poor conditions and old. The beds were pretty uncomfortable. Skip the beds and go to breakfast, which was OK. Will not go back.

Wonderful continental breakfast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/06
The reviews I read before our visit were right! The continental breakfast is great! Definitely a plus. The grounds are beautiful with a pool and lagoon with many ducks visiting. The room itself was comfortable, though a bit crowded with two queen beds. Wired internet access in the room; very fast. The bathroom could really use an upgrade--crud on the shower door, bathroom sink that drained poorly, toilet stained.

Best value in Santa Barbara

Great place to stay if you want to spend your vacation money on the recreation and not on the room. Nicest Ramada I've ever been to. Clean rooms, close to, but not on top of the freeway, and short drive to most attractions.
