Very, very disappointing...I would not recommend this hotel at all. I'd suggest paying another $20-$30 for any number of other places in town for piece of mind.
My room was very dirty.....dirt and grime on built up throughout the room..in the corners and baseboards. The toilet seat was very old and stained, etc. But, I was willing to put up with some of this in ...1 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulSHOW FULL REVIEW

Would Gladly Stay Again!This is my second time staying at the Gold Lodge, and I think that it is the perfect place to spend a quiet night near downtown, and not having to deal with the igidity of the "Big Chains" is great! No Extra Key??!!We stayed in this hotel once before. We booked the suite because it had enough beds for our children to all be comfortable. When I checked in, I asked for a second key. They said they didn't have one. They weren't kidding. The second evening we returned to the room about 10PM to find out the room wasn't made up. The clerk said ...2 of 2 Yahoo! golden servicei absoulutly love the people at this hotel. it is a mom and pop operation and i like that. i enjoy the fact that they take time to talk to you its not like that at a motel chain. plus the trees out front are butiful1 of 3 Yahoo! dont waste youe time, Beware of this "hotel"You would actually save more $ staying at a nicer place this place is run down, dirty and not as cheap as should be. I would sleep in my car before ever staying here again. I always thought the pool was for guests not the employees and thier friends and family.

One Star - Very BasicThe motel was old and the rooms were small and very basic but clean. Hot tub dirty and could not be used. There is no fitness room or massage.There were leaves in the swimming pool. This is a one star property at best and definately overpriced.3 of 3 Yahoo! What a quaint hotel!!This is a quaint quiet little out of the way motel. Whenever we are in Sonora this is the one hotel we love to stay at. would not stay there againThe desk clerk was talking about her personal life too much upon our check-in. The room was not clean, there was still coffee in the coffee pot in the room I stayed in. When the maid came in to make the bed the following morning, that was all she did. Trash was still on the counter from the day before and the coffee pot was still dirty. I would expect to stay in a sleazy motel and not pay what I was charged for such terrible service.You did not find this review helpful.3 of 5 Yahoo!
