The management should spend less time trying to be hip (and it's obvious they're trying)and spend more time on the details--like fixing the broken sofa bed, providing linens for the sofa bed, removing the stains on the carpet, providing a comfortable bed and re-doing the bathrooms, especially the shower (which seemed to be taken from a Motel 6). The room was large, however.
The lobby is cool and they're all about style, but the rooms are awful. They need serious updating. The carpets were stained with who knows what. I've been in Motel 6 rooms that are nicer than this. They also charged for mini-bar items not used - I hope they use the money they stole from me to update a room!
I spend every now and then time in Mondrian's Sky Bar with my friends, and I just love the atmosphere there. It is a laid-back place and really one of the nicest sky bars where I been to. Try it out!

I thought Asia de Cuba was great, esp. since they ...
Maybe boutique hotels are not my thing because I was more impressed with the Hyatt across the street or Best Western a few doors down. The first impression is favorable --- the tranquil, zen effect is certainly "felt"; however, if you soend any amount of time in the lobby or your hotel room there is nothing that represents quality. ...
If you're an "out of towner" looking for the glitz and glam of Hollywood, the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles is the place to stay! The first thing you'll notice is the location....right on Sunset next to The House Of Blues and close to everything! In addition, you're right on a bus line to take you sight seeing into ...
