You can always count on the Hyatt for a great room....always will sell itself( we pay more for this as well). But during my recent stay,,when another family busted into my room (kids of course) in the middle of the night....a call to the hotel manager~Branden?? asking "how" and "what if's" never even gave the decency of a ...
We got a great deal through Expedia for 4 nights. Rooms were clean, room service was fast (a bit pricey menu - but good food), we called for a porta crib and more towels - they were they within 5 mins. We had a marina view - unexpected. Everything: beach, shops, restaurants, all withing 5-10 mins driving time. No issues with loudness until our ...

A wonderful vacation with great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/09
From check-in to check-out the staff at this beautiful hotel were helpful and friendly. The desk staff and concierges were excellent in making sure we had a great time with directions and recommendations to many great restaurants and attractions. The grounds and rooms were clean and in great shape after their recent remodeling.
It just wasn't what I expected! My standards are pretty high considering the last Hyatt Regency I stayed in was in Maui. Our rooms were small and had no coffee maker and balcony as what it says in the website. Had I known our rooms were going to be so ordinary (reminds me of a cheap hotel in Maui), I would've spent a little more for an ...
We had multiple problems with this hotel. We were staying five nights, so I confirmed two adjoining rooms in the tower facing Sea World the day before we traveled. I was told everything was in order and they were looking forward to seeing us! We arrive and no adjoining tower rooms were available (We were traveling with grandma and kids and ...
We initially paid 189 per day to stay here which is pretty average for most of the hotels in San Diego and I would have paid more if I had known how poorly our room was going to look. This was our first time staying at a Hyatt Regency Hotel and you know normally when you pick something out of the ordinary, you feel a bite skeptical in the decision ...

$65 million renovations and they forgot to train the staff!
The location is perfect, the new pool is great, the newly rennovated rooms are nice enough, however...
The service is excruciatingly slow and substandard. The Hyatt spent $65 million upgrading this hotel, call it a four star hotel and the service is so bad I probably won't go back. The bar staff in SWIM, the pool lounge, lacked basic ...

We stayed at the end of May and found the location fairly convenient and beautiful. We had an ocean view room in the towers.
The Hyatt is finishing a 12 million dollar renovation and it has some excellent features. The pool slides were really nice and the atmosphere is very elegant.
We especially liked the Hyatt water taxi ride to Sea World ...

Wonderful Trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/08
Our bay view hotel room that also overlooked the pools and slides was amazing! The newly renovated hotel and our room looked just as the pictures showed. The service was wonderful, the bell hop even took a picture of us from our balcony. He gave us a quick tour of the hotel and surrounding area as we entered, and provided us with a map. Every ...

Hotel valet staff was very nice and helpful. that is about all I can say for the staff!! We had planned a famliy vacation and booked 3 rooms. Upon check in we were given all our rooms together but they were above the lobby area and we felt like they were what I call motel rooms!! Inside the first room in the bathroom the handle to the sink was ...
