never againI have never been more disappointed in my life with a Hyatt! Upon check-in (6:30pm) my suite wasn’t quite available after twenty short minutes we were given the key to our worst nightmare. Dirty carpetsWe were given a room in the second floor and it had dirty carpeting and cheap looking furniture and overlooked the parking lot. I immediately complained and while waiting in line to talk to the manager another guest in front of me had the same problem. They did give me an alternate room overlooking the bay. Not a 4 star facility.I was very frustrated with the $18 a day parking fee. If we were inside the downtown city I could understand but the hotel is quite isolated. There was abundant off site free parking but was not allowed from 2am to 4am so there was a risk of ticketing. The room interior decorating was nice. Dissatisfied with service & chargesThe Hyatt at Mission Bay was beautiful and our suite was great. I was dissapointed in all the little EXTRA charges, like: $1 for each local phone call, $10 for a daily internet connection, $18 for self parking daily, and several others. Construction on motel daily starting at 7am including jackhammers and heavy equipment outside your room.

Fantastic!!We were planning a one night trip to Sea World so when clearly informed about the renovations, we were not concerned about the closure of the pool or restaurant. The price per night was only about $20.00 more than a mediocre hotel.

Hyatt Regency IslandiaMy trip was wonderful. The hotel was under renovation, but that didn't take away from the great view of the bay. I would recommend any of the floors above the 4th floor.
