We were greeted upon check in 3pm at the front desk by a rude manager. He did not have a name tag so I am not sure if he was the gm, front desk or asistant manager. All I can say is we just arrived from N.Y. after a long flight and drive and did not need or expect to be greeted by a nasty employee of the hotel. That being said I guess the hotel is okay for a short stay but nothing special. Also a bit expensive.
I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels all across the United States and this was by far the worst one I have ever stayed at (and not to mention the most expensive). It was old, worn down, and did I mention expensive? I have stayed at Motel 6's that were way nicer than this place. I'll never, ever go back!
My husband and I went to Cal Poly SLO and every time we go back to visit we stay at the Holdiay Inn Express. They were one of the only hotels in the area to have refridgerators in the rooms. The service was great and the room fit our portable crib perfectly. The hotel was really clean as well. perfect location, right next to the Freeway.
Although this hotel is in a good location, our room had a noticeable foul odor to it. Since our toilet did not work we were "upgraded" to a suite which had an even more powerful stench. We actually chose a broken toilet room to the suite. Pretty sad when the choice was the lesser of two smells. We would not recommend this hotel. Save yourselves.
