We had an event here for a few hundred people. We paid for everything up front and was asked at the last minute for an additional deposit in the thousands of dollars. They ignored our pleas to get confirmation numbers for hotel guests. They refused to allow us to choose food items from their menus and said take this menu we made for you or forget ...
Great hotel but for $400 night? I think not, use priceline and have gotten it almost every time for $100 night. At that price it is a steal.

We stayed in one of the suites, 11th floor. We got a beautiful room with fantastic view of the LA sky line. I booked through Price Line so got a great rate.

Aggravating Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/08
My last stay at the Century Plaza was like a nightmare. The hotel is far from the city and near no places of interest to visit. First, they never had our reservation although we had a confirmation number. We were forced to wait for over 4 hours until they had a room for us. The room was nice but had few amenities and needed refurbishing. The last ...

Worth The Money

Stayed there for 3 nights. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff very friendly. Room very clean and maid service excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable.. Just two suggestions. First one......... Starbucks hours are limited. Opens at 6:30 a.m., which for those of us on EST is very inconvenient. I really needed that coffee earlier. 6:30 a.m. ...

Top-class hotel

I've stayed here twice, in 2006 and 2007. Many of the negative reviews seem to be from before the renovation but, as it is now, this place is fantastic.
The rooms are extremely well-appointed, with large flat screen TVs in each room, great balcony views across from the new Century Towers, and classy interior design in the rooms, the ...

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
We were looking for a quiet stop-over on an Australia - East Coast trip....what a joke.
The room we got wasn't what we booked.
Any slight noise from the room next door came through the adjoining door - and the noise started at 2am - after complaining twice management eventually tried to quiet it down....to no useful effect and no follow up.
Still waiting for our promised refund - they don't get it and they just don't care!

I travel for a living so I see my share of hotels. This place is very nice. The rooms are very urban/contemporary and are extremely comfortable. All the rooms have a balcony. The room also has a flat screen TV. The bathrooms are fairly large and themed well. The only negative would be parking. I happened to have a rental car and had to ...

Not for me
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/04/07
Confirmed my booking but still was not given the type of room I had booked. What was more pathetic was the attitude of the front desk - should have seen the expression when I asked if they had complimentary breakfast.
