I called and booked a regular room. When we arrived, we found that we had been upgraded to the Club Level and a mini-suite. The Club Level included a reception hour with complimentary cocktails and a beautiful breakfast buffet the next morning! What a deal. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and very clean bathrooms.
I found this hotel to be absolutely lovely. It was clean, the room decor was very luxurious and the staff were a delight. It was so nice to come back to our hotel after a day of running about the city (or completely out of town) to find a nice fire in the lobby to sit in front of and the beds turned down in our room. The hotel is centrally ...
First, the pros. Excellent service and extremely helpful staff. They really go the extra mile. A block away from Union Square, which was great. Requested a change of room, no problem. The cons, now. The room view was directly to an alley and wall. Room was nicely kept but old with visible signs it needs renovations.Food at Postro OK, but not ...
All hotel services were prompt, I and my group were treated 1st class. We highly refer to all who want GREAT SERVICE, Yes, the room was comfortable. The location convenient.
The restaurant also is very good, and service 1st class.

We stayed at the Prescott for 5 days with 2 other couples and LOVED it! Mike, the doorman knows everything about wine, Erica and Amanda were the best concierges ever. The maids were super....fast, friendly. Every person employed here were so nice and helpful. The bed was perfect, the wine happy hour by the fireplace in the livingroom was the ideal ...
Excellent service and great staff. But...rooms could be cleaner and better kept. Not a great view of the city. Postro is ok but not great.Good pizzas but I had better. Moral of the story...if you go for business or only need a place to crash at night, the prescott is perfect. If you like to spend lots of time in the room, there are better choices ...
The hotel was fine, the room was a bit more spacious than in the past (the queen size rooms are very small). The dinner at Postrio was excellent but very expensive, as was expected.
I recently spent three nights at the Prescott, strictly pleasure, and could not be more impressed. Everything and everyone made my stay very enjoyable. I had been using the Waldorf Astoria as the "benchmark" for evaluating hotel service, now I use the Prescott.

Noisy room and BAD service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/06
My husband and I had stayed in various types of hotels ranged from boutique style hotels to large chain hotels. This hotel has the WORST ATMOSPHERE and valet parking service we've ever encountered. The ROOMS in the hotels are SMALL and the carpet are very DIRTY. The room we stayed in was filled with noises from the street (police car siren, ...

Prescott Hotel - Not Worth it!

HOTEL REVIEW OF THE PRESCOTT HOTEL – SAN FRANCISCO: I stayed at The Prescott over a long weekend in mid November of 2005. I was looking for a hotel room – and found that the Westin, Hyatt and other larger hotels were sold out due to several conventions in town. I opted for the “upgraded Club Level” at a price I thought reasonable if it lived up ...
