We booked this hotel through Priceline for New Years Eve. Every other room on the floor we stayed on was booked by a loud party of college students. We were unable to sleep the entire night due to their loud screams and shouts. We complained twice to the front desk at 2:30 and 3:30am and while the hotel did ask the people to calm down, they did ...

A Very Good Choice for any Event at the Garden
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/08
I spent a weekend in Boston at the Bulfinch Hotel for the Hockey East Tournament. A very nice hotel, affordable and very convenient to the Garden. The room was on the small side but clean with a king size bed - it was perfect for me and my travelling companion. Staff was friendly and very helpful with referrals to area dining spots.

Likes: Air conditioner was amazing. Free newspaper. Bed was ultra-comfy. Great pillows. Clean room. Free high speed Internet. Close to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Also, a very close T Stop.
We are very happy about our stay in this hotel. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were treated very nicely. Just for the service, we would definately stay there on a return visit.
We were in walking distance of many sights and attractions. Hotel room is small but very clean and neat. The coffe and tea in the lobby were very good.
I loved it and it was really close to where we wanted to stay... Newly rennovated rooms and having a wonderful restraunt under us was great~ :) -anita

Overbooked- apalling service

Made a pre-paid, guaranteed reservation through Orbitz. Weather delayed our flight- when we arrived at 2am, the hotel was oversold and did not have a room for us. Since it was pre-paid for 2 nights, we had to go to another hotel for the first night and return for the second. Spoke with the general manager who was rather condescending.

Unpleasant stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/06
Very cold atmosphere and not professional Hotel management. The reception is similar to a kindergarden hall. The staff is indifferent and careless. We considered our stay as renting a bachelor apartment in a remote village. No activities at all. Our stay was a total disapointment and gave us sour memories of Boston.

Loved the Bathroom!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/05
Everything is clean and new. The down blankets on the bed were great. Pillows were very comfortable too. Bathroom was beautiful and spotless. A plus from the female perspective. Decor was neutral leaving impression of simple elegance. Next time will request room not across from elevator (kinda noisy) but overall enjoyable experience. Close ...

Looking forward to a return visit

We found the hotel clean, nicely appointed and very quiet for downtown Boston. The staff was courteuos and very helpful and the in bouse Angus Beef Steakhouse restaurant was great and served excellent steaks. The bed was comfortable and the room rivaled or was better than many comparable, and more expensive hotels where we have stayed. The parking was another plus.

Great location

We stayed at the Bulfinch for four nights in late September. The beds were so comfortable & bathroom was nice. The room was very small but clean. The front desk was very helpful & pleasant. Not happy with the parking situation or the fact there wasn't a restaurant on the premises for breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others...especially if going to a show or game at the Fleet Centre.
