Of all the airport stayovers, this motel is just the best! Our family has never worried about missing a flight, forgetting luggage, or being harried on the mornings we had to be at SFO for a flight out. The staff is so efficient, the motel so comfortable, and the car park so safe, we have always breathed such a sigh of relief when we arrive at El Rancho. We have also discovered it is a legend to many in our northbay town of Novato.

we couldn't find a decent place to stay , w/o a reservation , because it was memorial day weekend , it was close to midnight , and finally we went here , and wow , our suite so clean and had plenty of towels and soap and shampoo dispensers in the bath , it is so close to everything 24hr. safeway , mc donalds, etc... and the staff is so friendly ...

Whatever you do don't stay in the back. The Caltrain runs every 3 hours and it is less than 50 yards from the back buildings. The plumbing in my room was backwards and it kept going hot and cold. The room walls in the back were thin. I am sure the front buildings are fine I would have rather had stayed there then being awoken every 3 hours from the passing train. Continental breakfast was fine.

Within walking distance of foodstores, Trader Joe's, a very complete hardware store, and local Mexican restaurants. Not fancy, but clean. Good internet speed, but only on ethernet in room. Wireless near lobby

I love the El Rancho Inn. The rooms are clean, comfortable and you can't beat the rates. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is located close to the SFO airport. Driving into the city is easy and fast and it's easy to drive south to the SFO suburbs. When I visit SFO it's either on business or short visits with family/friends. The El Rancho is ideal as a home base.
